Excellent wedding venue, so glad that my wife and I selected The Historic Post Office for our wedding ceremony and reception. The space is elegant, beautiful and spacious for dinner and dancing, and the Speakeasy downstairs is a really unique feature that sets this place apart from other venues we considered. The staff were extremely professional and helpful and went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect.

Our son’s wedding was held at The Historic Post Office on New Year’s Eve. The ceremony and reception were absolutely lovely, and TJ did a great job coordinating the rehearsal and making sure everything went smoothly. Such a beautiful and functional space! The Speakeasy lounge was great for guests while the ceremony space was used for post-wedding photos and setting up for the reception. The bride and her attendants enjoyed the split screen in the Bride’s Suite so they could see the guests arrive. It is a wonderful wedding venue!

Having our wedding here was the best decision we made! TJ (and the staff) made it effortless and everyone was so quick to help us with anything we needed. My husband and I weren’t stressed (which I was worried we would be) and we were completely taken care of from the moment we arrived for the day to the moment we left. We still have family and friends telling us it was one of the most beautiful venues they’ve been to for a wedding. (PS definitely take advantage of the honeymoon suite right across the street! So perfect!)

My husband and I just held our wedding ceremony and reception at The Historic Post Office on 10-5-19. This was the best decision we made during our wedding planning. For starters, the venue is absolutely beautiful and unique. Everywhere you look, you notice a new piece of detail. We did very little decorating, because the space truly speaks for itself. We had several guests throughout the night rave to us about how amazing the venue was. My husband was very excited about the groom’s room with a large tv so they could watch college football while getting ready. The bridal suite was beautiful and elegant, came with mimosas and even an emergency kit should we have forgotten anything. What made this venue all the more special was the staff. I cannot say enough good things about TJ, the event coordinator who worked with us since day one. We owe everything to him honestly. He was available whenever we needed him, even a year in advance. For the entirety of our rehearsal and our wedding day, TJ was the most helpful person. He met every request any of us could have made with a “we’ll make it happen” attitude and made sure everything was exactly as my husband and I had hoped. He was there to make sure everything ran smoothly and that nobody in my family so much as had to lift a finger. He completed all the decorating of the space and met us the following morning with all of our belongings packed up and helped us load them into our car. The Post Office also provided a one on one assistant for the day, Jamie. She was amazing and by our side all day to make our plates, get us drinks and to help me carry my bouquet or dress. All night, we had guests approach us with how impressed they were with the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff here. I am so truly grateful that we were able to host our wedding at The Historic Post Office!

The Historic Post Office is such a beautiful place, my daughter Jessica had her sister’s. (my other daughters) wedding shower there. The downstairs room with Bar was huge and done very beautifully…The Historic Post Office host was very helpful and friendly… This beautiful place would be wonderful for any special occasion. A+
This a beautiful venue for a wedding. The staff is very good and accommodating. They have really thought out the layout and facility features. Can’t wait to have our daughter’s wedding here in 2019. This is a 10 out of 10. If you are looking for a place to hold a wedding or party I cannot recommend The Histoic Post Office more.

I just had my daughter’s wedding reception at The Historic Post Office and it was amazing! It was everything we were hoping for and more. We booked it before construction was even started and they totally delivered on what they promised us.
Erica was fantastic to work with and so helpful to us every step of the way. The on-site coordinator, TJ, was also great to work with. One of the best things about having a reception there is that they did all the work for us. We dropped off all our things needed for the reception earlier in the week and they took care of setting everything up for us and also coordinated with florist for the centerpieces and with our cake vendor and caterer.
On the day of the wedding we could focus on hair, makeup and getting everyone in the bridal party ready without giving a thought to the reception and everything looked so beautiful when we walked into the venue after the wedding at our church. They had a special attendant just for the bride and groom and she took very good care of them during the party and made the bride and groom feel very special. We enjoyed ourselves all evening and when the reception was over we had an after party in the Speakeasy Lounge in the basement and it was so much fun and a great way to continue the party for everyone gathered to celebrate with the happy couple!
When it was time for the party to end, we were able to walk out with our guests and we didn’t have to do a thing. They had a secure place to store any gifts that were there, they gathered all of our things and had everything boxed and ready for us to pick up the next day at our convenience. We used the centerpiece vases provided by The Historic Post Office and they even had our flowers in buckets with water so that we could take the flowers home and enjoy them. The next day we backed up to their loading dock and they helped load everything into our car.
Top notch service from a top notch venue! I give it a 10 out of 10!! Thanks for making Kelsey and Jared’s reception such a magical day for them!! I highly recommend this place!!!

Partnering with Narthex to create the vision for The Historic Post Office proved to be compatible relationship from the beginning. The finished event space will not only enhance the community, but will create vital memories to those using the space.
Areas like the speakeasy and private groom/bride room create unique spaces ready for an unbelievable ceremony and party.

Clockwork has enjoyed partnering with Narthex on the renovation of The Historic Ottawa Post Office. Narthex has left no stone unturned for the preservation and restoration of Ottawa’s crown jewel that has been left sitting unoccupied for decades.
The project will feature a grand ballroom that will leave lasting memories of a lifetime for brides and grooms to come. A speakeasy in the basement will become a hub for friends to meet, drink, relax and socialize.
Our team approach to minor modifications and maintaining the historical fabric will adapt the existing building to a compatible new use that respects Ottawa’s heritage and protects our cultural resources.
